Peonies

Peony is one of the most grateful flowers for nurturing. Gorgeous flowers in white, pink, red, purple or yellow are the most beautiful May decoration in the garden.

Depending on the variety, it blooms from mid-May to mid-June.

Peony grows well in sunny or semi-shady places, protected from the wind. It is best suited to fertile, sandy-loamy and moderately moist, deep soil. It does not tolerate moisture or acidic peat substrate. Positions that are exposed to the morning and midday sun, which can cause burns on the leaves, should be avoided. Wooden peonies need to be sheltered from the cold winds that dry out the soil.

The best time for planting is from mid-September to October. Potted seedlings can be planted all year round.
